This shoot was fun. A mix of film and digital, with incredible makeup. Even got some light-painting in there.
There were some antics though. Halfway though the shoot, the digital camera I was using ran out of battery, which was a little embarrassing. Then, believe it or not, we ran out of storage space! So I had to start deleting photos as we went! I think part of the problem was that older cameras were not built with large cards in mind, so it is possible that one of the cameras formatted the 32GB card to 8GB or something like that.
After the shoot, I got home and transferred the files, then formatted the cards. Small problem: I didn’t actually transfer all the photos off the cards, somehow. So I then spent the next couple nights working on recovering data off the cards. The RAW files were dead but I got most of the jpegs back.
Thankfully, the best photos came later! I was shooting on film, so I had to wait on the development to happen. And my goodness did they come out clean. This is probably my favorite shoot to date!
